The signing day of Mitat Enç's book titled "Endless Night", which was printed and distributed by Bioart, which operates in the biological pond sector, was held with the participation of Enç's daughter Zeynep Sinkil. A talk and autograph session was organized for the book "Endless Night", which is the autobiography of Mitat Eniç, who was born in Gaziantep in 1909 and became visually impaired due to an eye disease while he was in the first year of Darülfünun Faculty of Law.
In the speeches made at the event, it was stated that Mitat Enç, who completed his undergraduate education at Colombia University Faculty of Education and his master's degree at Harvard University despite his visual impairment, was an exemplary personality with his hard work, productivity and contributions to our country.
Making a speech on the signing day, Erdal Yeşil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bioart Biological Designs, said that in line with the decision they made, they printed and distributed books instead of agendas or promotional products. Erdal Yeşil made the following statement on the subject:
“Our 6th book in the campaign was the book called Endless Night by the valuable educator and writer Mitat Enç. One of the most important features of the book for us is that a blind person can explain the world so beautifully. Additionally, there are pages 164-166 of the book regarding the fuss about the Armenian genocide, which is a current issue. There are very good reviews on its pages. When you read this book, it becomes clear what a big lie the Armenian genocide clamor is. As the Bioart family, we will continue to distribute books and encourage reading as long as we live long.”
Gaziantep University Faculty of Science and Letters faculty member Dr. attended the signing day. M. Sabri Genç stated that Mitat Enç was one of the most important witnesses of the 20th century. Enç's, I. and II. M. Sabri Genç stated that he perfectly demonstrated his observations in Turkey, Europe and the USA during and after World War II with his inner eye, despite being visually impaired, and made the following statement:
“What they put forward in the work called Endless Night has the potential to be the subject of many master's and doctoral theses. In this sense, it is very important for Mitat Enç's works to increase their readability, albeit slowly, and especially for them to be subject to academic studies and for their testimonies to be addressed. In addition, the literary value of his works is incredibly high. In my opinion, his work "The Greats of Uzunçarşı" should be in the top class of world literature. I think that Mitat Enç is not yet appreciated and that he is as important as the famous Argentinian visually impaired writer Borges. I hope that the works he published in a pedagogical sense will be brought to light and published, and that all of Turkey will look at Mitat Enç's works and evaluate them from this perspective.”
Zeynep Sinkil said that her father, Mitat Enç, was an intellectual who established the special education system for the education of disabled children and pioneered the training of teachers to work in these institutions. Zeynep Sinkil stated that they were happy that Mitat Enç was recognized in Turkey and his works were highlighted and thanked those who contributed to this issue.
